Why this blog?
Whenever I leave the hospital after a long shift, my first goal is to do whatever it takes to put my work behind me and focus on something else. For some reason, the one thing that could fully take my mind off of work, was the thought that I was not alone in dealing with the sadness, the angry, the exhaustion, the pure joy, of being a healthcare professional. I was always drawn toward reading others’ stories of their time as a nurse or doctor as well as stories from the patient’s perspective. And that’s when I said-hey wait a minute! I can be the person who writes those stories for other’s to read while trying to relax! And hence, this blog was born.
So sit back, grab a cup of coffee (or wine…it’s probably wine right? I am so right.), and start reading.
Topics to Expect:
Mistakes, coworkers (the good, the bad, the…everything else), nursing school advice, difficult conversations, and of course, the terrifyingly long and expensive tale to finding my perfect shoe.
